As the legend goes, when Bodhisattva was going across Zhen jiang, she rescued the ferry passengers who had fallen into the river. People built this Guanyin Cave to show their gratitude and longing for peace. There stood a white stone goddess statue in the cave. “ Putuoyan Temple” of Yanguang Bodhisattva lied in its eastern side, and on its western side stood “ Dizang Temple” of Dizang Bodhisattva. For centuries, Bodhisattva was offered constant incense by people for its mercy and care she showed to them.
