Two poems in “Three hundred poems of Tang Dynasty" described homesickness of the poets far away from home. One is “Fengqiao Night Parking” written by Zhang Ji, the other is entitled On Jin Ling Ferry” written by Zhang Hu in late Tang Dynasty. The poem goes as “ There stood a little building near the Jinling ferry. The decoys feel a strong homesickness all over the night. The moon was reflected onto the river with the ebb of the tide. In the far distance is Guazhou with the blur sight of slight fire.” It was said that Zhang Hu spent the night in the little attic and ignited a mixed feelings facing the moon, tide and distant fires. He felt great depressed and lonely. Thinking he is just an alien person, more complicated worries and anxieties captured him. Thus the little hill attic enjoys such a high reputation. Now the little attic has been restored to its original appearance. Mr. Yu Qiuyu inscribed “Jinling Ferry” on the plaque hanging in front of it in person. There stood a Xijin Ferry corridor in which many calligraphies of Qi Gong, Shenpeng, Yao Zongyi, Liu Zizhi and other famous scholars are displayed. The calligraphies are written in style of Li, Cao, Kai or Xing. These calligraphies add many new elements to the Xijin Ferry of rich cultures become another treasure in calligraphy in renowned Zhenjiang.
